Single covers & frames
For manholes, pump, valve and transformer chambers, cable draw pits, lighting and fuel pits, hydrant pits and plant access chambers.
Products
Five load classes, every major format — machined ductile iron, gas- and air-tight when correctly installed, engineered to sit flush and non-rocking under traffic.
Cover options
Every format is available in two surface styles, so the finished installation matches its surroundings.

Recessed
Cross-ribbed recesses take a concrete infill (specified to 45 N/mm² cube strength) or brick paviours, giving a hard-wearing surface that matches the surrounding paving — with the anti-slip character of the pavement around it.

Solid top
Solid top covers are lighter than infill units and carry a raised lozenge anti-slip pattern. Best suited to non-high-density traffic locations; assist-lift versions make single-person opening safe and easy.
Formats
Modular components share common frames, seating faces and lifting keys across the range — so covers are easy to remove, replace and extend.

For manholes, pump, valve and transformer chambers, cable draw pits, lighting and fuel pits, hydrant pits and plant access chambers.

Modular runs over pipe and cable service trenches — the standard for utilities and data centre distribution corridors.

Linked cover runs along service trenches, sealed and non-rocking under carriageway and dock traffic.

Gully tops and channel gratings for kerbside and yard drainage, matched to the C250 to F900 duty of the surrounding pavement.

Linear grating runs for channel drainage across aprons, yards and carriageways.

Wide chambers covered by multi-part units with removable structural steel beams — the format used on airport aprons and container terminals.
Loading groups
The right load class matches the duty the project needs at the best strength-to-cost ratio. We help you make that selection — and regard it as an important part of our service.

| Class | Test load | Wheel load* | Typical applications |
|---|---|---|---|
| B125 | 125 kN | 3 t | Footways, pedestrian areas, car parks, driveways, internal floors |
| C250 | 250 kN | 5 t | Kerbside installation, pedestrian precincts, yards |
| D400 | 400 kN | 11.5 t | Carriageways, hard shoulders, parking for all vehicle types, power stations |
| E600 | 600 kN | 20 t | Dockyards and other areas with slow-moving wheel loads up to 20 tonnes |
| F900 | 900 kN | 35 t | Airfield pavements, taxiways, civil airports, dockyards |
Classes and test loads per BS EN 124; compliance does not replace the user's responsibility to ensure correct installation. *Wheel loads are manufacturer's guidance from Gatic literature — single, slow-moving wheel loads. In high-density traffic conditions, a factory-fitted vibration-resistant locking system is recommended. Full specifications: www.gatic.com.
